Andrew Katz is a practising lawyer based in England, and has been advising on open source and related issues for over 30 years. He has lectured and published widely on open source software, open hardware and open content. He has been an active participant in the OpenChain community and has drafted the OpenChain Template Open Source Policy, and has also been working on an OpenChain-compliant maturity model. He has been involved in many mergers and acquisitions transactions involving open source software, resulting in the development of a set of due diligence questions and associated representations and warranties intended to identify and manage risk in the context of a corporate transaction.
